Stakes were high, emotions were running, and things got ugly. When we look back on the Spring of '06, there are few who will not first be reminded of the bloody battle between two amiable comic characters. Before the battle Kiri and Rain both appeared kind, level-headed, one might even say sane. But true colors came out as they went head to head against each other in a bloody battle for rights to the first ever official leveL desktop background.
But first, the spoils! Starting off with the long-awaited desktop images themselves! That's right, imageS. It turns out that Nate, as in so many of his creative endeavors, decided to put forth a little too much effort with the promised background, the result being that we have FOUR seperate variations on the image. Two images show the scene in 'daytime', the others at what one would call Night. Also, the background became complicated enough that Rain ended up covering a good deal of it, so I decided to off Sans Rain versions, for both times of day. The result being four seperate images depicting a setting that has yet to appear in leveL, but one that has been in my mind for over six year, being planned all the way back in High School. Wow.
Thus without further ado and in a variety of shapes and sizes, I give you all the reward you so richly earned, a sneak peek at the place Rain originally called home: TANK.
Now, in further true-to-Nate form, I am not going to reveal any further information about this place other than what you can take away from the image itself. Hopefully there's enough there to realize this is not your average city. Oh no, it's so much more... *ORGAN!*

Now, as most of you know, this is the first time I've ever had any sort of reader-centered event for the comic, and I wanted to take a minute and thank all of you for really blowing me away with your support. I recieved insanely generous donations as well as fantastic fanart. Your support really made all those late nights I've spent pouring myself into comic pages feel like they were truely appreciated. Thank you all so much for your support, a guy couldn't ask for a better group of readers.
